Self Love (Changing old beliefs!)

This morning I was working with my writing partner Margaret. She also helps me with marketing my coaching and workshops. She is much more technical and detail oriented then I. That is clearly not my area! We were looking at an inexpensive way to change dates and clean up my website that has been down for a few months and needs work! It was not flowing and I felt very frustrated as I often do, doing these kinds of tasks. Not only am I somewhat dyslexic, but I clearly have some judgements and beliefs around me doing anything technical. One being I am not good at this kind of work. I looked at how I was feeling. Irritated, angry, and not enjoying this project at all. What to do? First take responsibility for my decision about myself in this kind of situation. Next look and see if I want to change that belief! It really does not serve me. Stop, take a few breaths and examine. We did quit for the day but I am willing to create a new affirmation around this. Looking at the old belief first. “I am not good at technical things.” What would empower me? How about the opposite of that statement. “I am getting better and better handling technical details.”

I suggest you look at some area of your life that you have made a decision around that is negative and stops you! Are you willing to change? Is it loving to yourself to hold that old belief? Is it working for you? If you are ready for a breakthrough try creating a new affirmation that supports you to transform the old belief. Say it to your self or put a post it with it where you will see it daily. Say it out loud for the next 30 days. This creates a new groove in your brain! Watch what happens after 30 days! You can, transform those old beliefs. This is another way to be self loving!!
